Speak in any language.
Read it in English.

Vertano recognizes around 100 languages and treats Urdu as first-class, not an afterthought. Translate to English with one toggle, or export a transcript in several languages at once, all on your own machine.

Urdu → English, built in.

One toggle turns Urdu, Hindi, Arabic, Punjabi, Pashto, or any of 100 languages into clean English text. Switch translation off to keep the original script, or set the language manually when a short clip confuses auto-detect. And when English is not enough, check more languages under Translate To: each transcript is saved once per language, translated on your device.

Three models, chosen by capability

  • Efficient. Fast and light. Great for clear, single-language recordings and quick drafts.
  • Enhanced. Sharper accuracy on accents, mixed audio, and noisy rooms.
  • Maximum. Built for multilingual and Indic-language audio, including code-switching mid-sentence.

Only the model you choose downloads, and it is yours to keep. You can hold more than one and switch between them per job.

How translation runs

Transcription is always on-device. Translation to English is produced by the transcription engine itself, so it works even in airplane mode. Additional target languages use on-device translation: a language pack downloads once, then everything runs locally with nothing uploaded.

The honest limits

On the Mac app, multi-language translation uses Apple's language packs, which cover roughly 25 target languages. A few languages, including Urdu, Bengali, Persian, Punjabi, and Pashto, are not available as translation targets yet. Transcribing those languages and translating them to English still works; the gap is only translating into them.
